Homeopathy is a system of natural medicine that uses tiny dilutions of natural substances to promote a healing reaction in the body. Established for over 200 years, it is today the second most widely used medical system in the world.

Safe for both adults and children, it can also be used alongside conventional medicine (your doctor should always be consulted in the first instance).

Homeopathic remedies are only available after an in-depth consultation after which an individual prescription can be made. This initial consultation can last up to 90 minutes and will take into account not only present symptoms but also many other factors such as past medical history, diet and lifestyle. In this busy world, and with a health service in which ever busier doctors have just a few minutes with each patient, this often presents the first opportunity for people to discuss their symptoms, concerns and generally take stock of their life and many people report finding this aspect useful in itself.

Follow up appointments last between 40 minutes to an hour.

Also included in the sessions, where appropriate, may be psycho-therapeutic techniques such as Emotional Freedom Technique or Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This integrated approach provides an eclectic, wide ranging holistic therapy that is ideal for neuroses such as depression and also for complex cases where there are multiple layers, treating as homeopathy does, the whole person rather than just a named disease or isolated symptoms.
